Is it normal to bathe with friends/family if we're all wearing bathing suits?

I'm a guy and a typical bath usually consists of myself, my 2 sisters and our next door neighbor's 2 daughters. like the title says, we all wear bathing suits when we bathe together. we started doing this when we were young kids and able to wash ourselves, our bath is fairly large and there's usually not a space issue. but is it normal for 1 guy, his 2 sisters and 2 family friends to bathe together even in bathing suits? (we're all around the same age, the most is a 3 year gap. I am the oldest one between us all)

    Uh, that's not a bath, that's the local mud hole! And I'm sure if you asked, the rest of your village would also join in before the dry season sets in and the hot African sun dries your mud hole up.

    we bathed today with no bathing suits on, it was kind of awkward at first but my sisters helped me relax

    It's not really that strange to bathe or shower with others. It's no more weird than a bunch of people sitting in a hot tub or using the open showers at the gym. The bathing suits, though?? Don't they make it difficult to wash and rinse off thoroughly?

      they kinda do, should i suggest to my sisters that we dont wear the bathing suits then? (when i say sisters, i mean my blood-related sisters and our family friends, they're like sisters to me too)

        This is your typical bath and if nothing inappropriate has been going on then I doubt the bathing suits are keeping that from happening. You all probably know what a nude body looks like. Ask the parents. It would be different if this was a new thing but since you have been doing this for years (without trouble?) it would be judgemental to think you'd turn it into an orgy once the suits were off.

    the reason for the bathing suits is because our parents tell us to wear them, i guess they dont want their daughters naked in front of a guy or dont want a naked guy in front of their daughters. probably both.

    no mud hole, no "African sun" (there's only one sun in our solar system, it's not just for Africa) its a large bath in a private home in a civilized country.
