Is it normal to be a hypochondriac even though i've been tested for most diseases?

I think i might have cancer or a cardiovascular illness but the doctors say I am fine (with a high certainty). Why can't I believe them?

I think that not believing that you're fine is the definition of a hypochondriac. It won't matter how often you are tested, it's perpetual. Try and speak to a psychologist for advice on dealing with or reducing it's effect.

Most of the time, a hypochondriac would deny the fact they are a hypochondriac and would not recognize their hypochondria unless they are in treatment. It is most likely anxiety or paranoia. That being said, it could also be a gut feeling. I have had minor symptoms since I was 8, and they were unable to find anything, yet I felt that I had something wrong. I'm now 16 and it turns out I have an autoimmune problem and the reason they didn't find anything was because there is no official name for what I have. In the end you know your body best, and if you physically feel sick then I would recommend talking to your doctor. I would recommend talking to a psychologist due to your mental health concerns.

You think so? I believe you can also be aware of your own mental problems...
But you're right, your own feeling should know your body best

You're a hypochondriac BECAUSE you've been tested for most diseases.

That's how mental illness works. You can't just say "don't worry you're fine" and expect to cure someone that way.
