    The bacteria give it a distinct flavor. I have done it for years and never been sick from it.

    One time my friend tried to drink out of the hose and got a face full of spiders

    I do it all the time, especially when working outside during the Summer..It's the same water as you're getting inside the house, only coming out of a hose instead of sink faucet. I don't see any problem with it. Drink away!

    I don't know if it is normal or not. The question here should be if it is safe or not. If not, try to replicate that somehow.
