Is it normal to be an atheist in a highly christian town?

People don't seem to hate me, but nearly everyone I know is a christian. I've been hit by people for not capitalizing god or refusing something christian, whether it be a belief or a bible, but nobody really does anything beyond that. Is it normal, or is it not done by people because eventually they end up burning you on a cross?

Stakes are for burning, crosses are for crucifixions.

do what you believe in and helps you lead the best life for you . I am more spiritual than religious although I don't have the answers to any of it . I just know the morals and values I hold are enough to keep me living a good path and I don't need one higher power to make me do so .

Not everyone confirms to the heard. No matter what the heard mentality might be. When I say heard I mean overall idea that fuels the town. This could be Atheism, Christianity, Sports, science. Just because you are in a town of a certain theme does not mean you will confirm to it.

It seems to me that the more you are surrounded by these 'christians' the easier it would be to see them for the phonies and hypocrites they truly are.
I see nothing odd in your position other than that you have remained surrounded by these weak and un'christian' like people. After all what is more un'christian' than being intolerant of those who might believe differently than they do?

People in the southeastern US are taught a variety of weak minded predudices, many weak minded religious ideas, and many delusional ideas of society at a very early age. It is not surprising that people all over the rest of North America avoid them.

Which totally explains why so many southern states have same-sex marriage. Idiot.

To test y'all's theory, you would have to see if southern homos and northern homos want to stick their boners into each other's butts any more often than the average. Btw, y'all's can praise Jesus for sodomy while y'all's at it.

How many accounts do you have now?

I am just good at mimicking other people. That's why many people suspect that I have multiple accounts.

Btw, sorry for what General Sherman did to Atlanta. He should have just destroyed the railroads. I don't blame you for hating people in the states that border Canada.

I don't hate any group of people asstastic.

Also, the civil war was around 150 years ago. It has nothing to do with me. Not to mention I'm Native American.

There are no atheists alive. We all are gods children.

You're right. I'm sorry, I've been getting increasingly bitter lately because I'm surrounded by the hateful ones.
