Is it normal to be attached to someone you dont know but met in your dream?

Ok, so a few years ago when i was younger i had this weird dream that gave me laods of questions in my head. I was in the middle of an abandoned forest, inside a broken down carriage and right opposite was this little girl, she looked my age and she was sleeping. Few seconds later i heard a voice that sounded like a really pissed off man that i think was calling my name, then the girl woke up with massive blue eyes like an anime character and she spoke to me like she was panicking. And then i woke up and it scared the crap outta me (but most dreams do.) Anyway, most vividly i can remember of her is that she had bright orange hair, blue eyes the colour of a clear blue sky and i cant exactly remember what she was wearing but i saw pink so i think she wore a pink victorian dress and she was so beautiful but the strangest thing is....ive never met her in my life! i only thought people can only come into your dreams unless you've seen them in your lifetime, but ive never met a gorgeous red head like her before.
Shes become a massive part of my life now and i love her to bits! but do any of you know what this means? is this a sign for the future or something? i'd like to know.

P.S this happened when i was 8

    I know recurrent characters that only exist in the dream world. I have dream friends too.

    hmmm I think some people must feel this way at times... when I was about 8-10 I had a dream about a girl id never met in real life before, I didn't even see her face as such, I just remember her hair most of all, but In the dream we had been together a long time and loved each other, but all hell in the area broke loose (very vague I know but my dreams are very detailed and long, its just too much surreal shit to explain haha) and she ended up fleeing, not just the place but me also, like I knew she had to leave or was leaving me and everything, and I just watched her go without turning her head...

    after that I woke, and honestly, I sat in my bed for about two hours thinking about her, crying my eyes out, asking myself: "why did I just let her go like that"?

    seems insane cuz its just a dream and ive never felt anything like that from a dream since, but I really did genuinely feel this huge attachment and I cried so hard.

    But Yes I suppose certain dreams can stick with you. You must have seen her face before on someone else, because our brains cant create faces we have never seen before. But hey maybe you'll get lucky.

      I don't know where this rumor started, but it doesn't even make sense.

      I have obviously seen people who don't exist here, because I see characters who don't even look like normal people that exist here. I think most people have dream characters that could not exist in this reality.

      Dreams can make any image, faces or inanimate objects.

              Where did you hear that you cannot see people in dreams you havent seen before? How would that explain seeing abstract faces that are not possible in this reality and other strange dream characters that can not exist here?
