Is it normal to be bothered by the way your hair falls on your head?

By bothered I specifically mean it causes pain/a headache for me.

It's hard for me to really describe the feeling so I haven't gotten a clear answer looking this up or asking others but... Does anyone else have days or weeks where their hair becomes hypersensitive, to the point of pain without even touching it? I have long hair, so for me it sometimes feels like my hair is "falling" the wrong direction, i.e. resting on the front half of my head instead of the back. It's not a constant problem for me, and because I doubt anything is actually changing between when it does and doesn't bother me, I think it's probably a psychological thing? But does anyone else have this feeling?

For the record I do have OCD and I have wondered if it was a related sort of thing but I've never seen it listed as a symptom or even described anywhere else at all, and my therapist had no idea what I was talking about.

It's probably just the weight of your long hair pulling on your scalp and some days you notice it more. Hardly a huge problem is it?

Maybe try styling it a different way?
