Is it normal to be confused about the lord?

Is it normal that my whole life ive been to three differnt churches that all practice different religions? i mean i just havent found one that i can really truely understand or completely commit to. well yeah i belive in god but justnot so much in all the baggage he comes with. like goliath? cain and abel? garden of eden? wheres all of this stuff now? is the bible really credible? people say to just have faith but i like to have the facts and frankly reading one book isnt giving me what i want. im not asking for you to preach to me, i go to church, i just want to know if what im thinking is normal and not sinfull. i belive just not in all the otherstuff. yanno?

There are so many views out there. I think it's perfectly normal to be confused about something that becomes more ambiguous as the years go by.

I'm not strongly religious myself, so I'm not one to judge anything that is or isn't written. But I think you should believe what you feel is true, not everyone else.

Believe in the Bible. Most people don't think so, but there are strong facts to the Bible's credibility. The New Testament Gospels were written by eye-witnesses or close friends to eye-witnesses of Jesus and His ministries. The Bible was duplicated with such precision that hundreds of years after, the dead sea scrolls were discovered and matched exactly to modern copies, save one word. Also, the disciples died horrendous martyrdoms. Ask yourself, "why would people create a false religion (Christianity) and die brutal deaths with no gain of popularity, riches, rise in social status, or any other worldly joy?" C.S. Lewis spent alot of his career trying to disprove Christianity, but in the end knew and discovered it was the truth.
    Don't hesitate with questions!

In any religion God is meant to be benevolent so what should it matter if you don't take every word of the book to heart? I'm Catholic and I have faith in God but I but I don't commit myself to everything the bible or the church says. I believe in my own way and I don't think there's anything wrong with your way of thinking.

I think it's sinful...I dk. The basic thing of religion is to have faith. If you want cold hard facts..welllll...that's not exactly present in religion.
