Is it normal to be confused with atheists which say "i wish god were real?"
Why would you want God to be Real?? Life is far more awe-inspiring without He/She/It. I just love knowing that every good experience in my life occurred out of chance. The probability of someone predicting--at the time of the big bang-- that a fat bipedal hominid male named (insert name here) and a perfect, freckled, bipedal hominid named (insert female name here) would choose eachother as life mates in 13.7 billion years is so mind-numbingly unlikely that thinking about it makes my brain hurt. It's special :)
If God existed It would have always known that whoever was supposed to fall in love with so-and-so. Life would then be shit because my love has been planned out and worse, children that have been raped and murdered were made to be.
"What if my life is shit?" you ask?
Would it really satisfy you knowing your shit life has been planned that way? With disbelief at least we have a choice to carry ourselves out of the shit instead of blaming some silent yet petulent supervisor.
Personally, I have always felt this was something Atheists say to theists to tell them "hey look, I've given your system a fair go, now please swallow mine." Despite this, I could be (prolly am) wrong and if there are any non-believers who sincerly want to believe please explain why.
