Is it normal to be getting stupider and enjoy it?

I think it's pretty cool to seem kinda dumb, as long as you are at least smart in some things. I am a complete idiot on the surface and I keep getting stupider, but I'm actually better at math, programming, art, and languages than most people I meet. I'm not bragging, in fact I know plenty of people are way better at all those things than I am; but those people are also smart enough to be modest about it, unlike the "average" people who would consider me a dumbass. It feels good to be seen as stupid, and then be able to blow them away by knowing things they can't even understand. Sometimes I make myself learn things solely for this purpose, and other things I will never allow myself to learn, so I can maintain a decent level of external stupidity.

So you're not stupid then, you just like proving people wrong with their false judgments. I don't see a problem with that.

I'm certainly more of a liberal arts person than say a math person, but I suppose I have my areas of expertise. You don't strike me as a stupid person as I am a lover of the spelling/grammar nazis, and have been known to troll an illiterate or two in my day.

I quite enjoy silliness and somewhat infantile toilet humor, and for that reason I have been accused of being somewhat intellectually challenged myself. Do yo thang, baby, and make the haters see that they're the stupid ones!

I kinda do the opposite. I used to be a speed reader as a kid, I got all As and Bs, almost won the school spelling bee (but nerves got me). Now I barely read at all (except to learn how to do things), I'm very average, and I have to focus pretty hard in order not to misspell even basic words. Sometimes I sort of troll the "grammar nazis" with purposely misspelled words or improper grammar, to where it has entered into my "mental autocorrect" that way.

I love math and liberal arts (if that means drawing). I love toilet humor too. I guess I'm just very immature compared to some people, but who cares what they think :)

Firstly, I must commend you on some of the good sense you are demonstrating which in fact contraindicates your stupidity. You have made a sharp distinction between "image" and applied intelligence aka "traction". By hiding your aptitude for math, programming, and language you may lower people's defensiveness of your abilities, while also lowering the discovery of opportunities since you are not displaying competence.

One of the biggest obstacles to the acquisition of wealth is poor math ability. If you can, take classes at a community college about personal finance, investing, and business statistics.

There is a distinct difference between perceived intelligence and actual intelligence. I am the opposite from you in that lots of people seem to think that I'm smart but I am actually far below average. I taught myself to code in 9th grade and I actually payed attention in class so people labeled me as a "smart kid" when in fact it takes me twice as long as a normal person to get tasks done, and I fail at simple logic puzzles. I have a very specific skill set that allows me to seem intelligent while actually I am dumb af.

      • Hahaha this is awesome. I'm liking you more and more.
People act like coding is some amazing, genius level shit but it's fucking easy to me and I'm a complete dumbass.
And sooorryyy if this would be considered a necropost too, but this site has gotten pretty boring so I don't check it as often. Been seeing a lot of good comments from you though, didn't think you'd be into coding. Cool

Yeah most people think i am just a turbo slut who whores around town but I spend most of my time at the library reading batman trades and dealing with nerdy guys. They get off thinking they are smarter than me so i learned how to be a script jockey. Then I just progressed to java and c# even tho they suck. I prefer perl tbh.

          • Turbo slut?? Uhh.. Ian??

I have no idea if you're serious but I kinda did the same lol. Hence this post. I'm lucky to be a hot chick on the outside without much effort, but I'm actually a major fuckin nerd, and not the trendy kind, the legit socially retarded kind, if I was a male or ugly people would probably assume I'm an autistic virgin (and I am). but I learned to hide it pretty well.

    • Politics is one of the things I am willfully ignorant of, to the derision of the commoners. The only time I've ever taken sides in politics was either to start or stop arguments.
