Okay... so i am a white female and my best friend is a black male. His name starts with a D so i will refer to him as [D]. Okay, so D and i have been best friends with D since the beginning of the sdhool year, but now things are changing.

On the night of one of my school dances, D told me that he was really into me and he asked me to be his girlfriend.

I told him that we're best friends and i could never risk loosing that bond.

For a week or two everything was fine, but then people started calling him mary, and me his "little lamb". I love him to death, and i wear the bracelet he gave me every day, but now he's barely talking to me, and when he said he was going to be at the dance he wasn't. HELP ME.

    Isn't the whole point of being in a relationship being with your best friend on a more permanent basis? In every relationship I've had with a woman, she has been my best friend at the time. All friendships change, why not into a loving relationship?
