Is it normal to be irritated when people make race jokes about the wrong group?

A lot of the time online, I see people make racial jokes on comments sections. Yes, I know jokes are jokes, but I get irritated when they refer to the wrong ethnicity/nationality. For example, when people start making Mao Zedong and Tibet jokes around Taiwanese and Singaporeans, or start making KFC jokes around people from the Pacific islands, or terrorist jokes when talking about Indians. I find that really irritating, making dog meat jokes on Japanese videos, etc. Is that normal?

Yeah but insults and stereotypes are rarely intelligent and informed to begin with.

    • True, but especially when such insults/stereotypes are applied to the wrong group.

You know I never understood why stereotypes were considered "unintelligent"...it may not apply to 100% of that group's population but usually there's a damn good reason for them...
