Is it normal to be mad at my family for moving?

My mom recently moved in with my stepdad, but we moved across the state. Im having to leave highschool, my boyfriend, my friends and even my dog mid school year to be with my mom’s crappy date. Am I in the right to be angry?

It does suck having to move because obviously you do not have much control of your environment. Having your life uprooted without so much as a say IS stressful.

I remember my freshman year of high school we had moved to a new town, not real far away but at the time it seemed great. I had no idea that 30 years later I would STILL miss my old neighborhood. Well that long story aside -

Yes you are in the right to be pissed off. I guess deal with things the best you can and start making plans now, best you can, on how you can re-establish your home back in your hometown when you are able, if that is what you want.

I think your anger is completely normal, and understandable. I'm especially sorry to hear that you had to give up your dog.
