Is it normal to be mad you are given the silent treatment

So my son is living at my house again, but he doesn't want to talk to me.It is so rude that he won't talk to me when spoken to. I get angry sometimes and need to yell at someone , so I yell at him because the remote is missing.I yell because he puts his radio in the wrong place. I yell because the car battery keeps dying and I think its because he keeps leaving the lights on , but he said he checked them five times and they weren't on. After I get done yelling, I want to have polite conversation and he just ignores me He says I don't listen anyway.Everything he says is perceived as a smart ass comment and I like to twist things and start trouble. He also says leave me alone a lot and I don't want to fight with you.My husband is sick of being woke up at night because I am standing by our son's door shrieking at him for not answering me.But I wouldn't have to yell if he do things correctly. He is such a screwup.Like him watching reruns of quantam leap and poirot.Teenagers should not even like shit like that. My husband thinks I don't want him driving so I keep starting shit.

Sometimes I observe things and think to myself,People should have to get a license or pass a test to be parents. This is one of those times.

Really? Well some of us were not born perfect like you. As a parent myself I feel for this woman's dilemma. Not an easy job. I guess unlike you, this woman did not read the parental instruction manual that was placed under her Christmas tree one frosty morning. I offered some advice here that may or may not be taken. Hell, I don't know even know if I'm right or wrong but it sure seems right to me. And at least I tried to help. You, the parental expert with perfect children, want to "observe things and think to myself". Really? Must be nice to have that luxury. Pity that this OP has to actually deal with this. And since you like to "observe things" too bad you can't observe this middle finger of mine pointing at your face.

Nope not a perfect parent, but have read some of the op's other posts and she obviously has some mental issues. Just read any of her stories , they are almost too crazy to be real.

Okay. That's different (you're not lying to me are you?) If that's true then let's bygones be bygones. Forgive me for giving you that cyber finger but you did kind of piss me off. Ahem. So time for me to observe, huh? Okay, I'll do just that.

How old is this "kid"? If he is 18 or so then maybe it's time for sonny boy to get to steppin'. I joined the navy when I was 17. And this was during the Vietnam war! Maybe his biggest problem is you. Yeah YOU. He sounds like a spoiled brat. He sounds too old to take having a relatively free roof over his head for granted. Maybe it's time to let go mommy. And what part does daddy play in this disfunctional scenario? Time to let go mommy. Tough love is very often the best love one can give one's child. Time to let go mommy before you totally freak the fuck out.

The op is the one who sounds like an abusive brat. I wish I could give the teenager a big hug , with a mother like this , I am sure he could use some.

You too? Well you are wrong. This kid needs a stiff boot in his lazy spoiled ass. A stint in the US military is what sonny boy needs. For his own good. A big hug? Let him hug a big green duffle bag as he leaves boot camp. Enough with the cuddle bull crap already. >:-(
