Is it normal to always be worried that someone or your landlord is going to burst into your apartment at any moment? im always worried about it because they have spare keys and you know i would die of fright if anyone did
I wouldn't say it's normal to be afraid that somebody is going to come bursting into your apartment any minute. Landlords are not allowed to enter your house without your permission. I think you are a bit paranoid. But being paranoid is better ignoring the idea that it could happen.
Solution: Locks & lots of them. And maybe a gun.
Not normal.
1) As a renter you have legal rights that your landlord has to obey
2) If your landlord is the kind of person who would just burst in on you ... why are you renting from him in the first place?
Where I live... our landlady hasn't been inside our apartment since my BF moved in. The maintenance man comes in but only when we put in for trouble calls. And twice a year to change out the air filter.
(and for the air filter, they post exactly what dates he'll be entering the apartments over a week in advance)
