Is it normal to be so interested in criminals?

I love horror movies, criminology, and psychology. As a child I was extremly rational and a lot of things never bothered me. was always thinking about my future and most people including my parents seemed unnedingly hostile and volatile. They would call me a monster for not getting upset or panic over things which dont matter. Like my idiot sibling went into a depression over losing at mario one time. I thought he was being childish and got scolded for being heartless. So I learned psychology as I wamted to understand people. I prefer studying abnormal psychology though like mental disorders and criminals as they are far more interesting. Most people if you try to hard to figure them out are very easy to predict and that isn't very stimulating. I also been a sort of therapist(not legally) as I helped a lot of poor poeple and convinced them not to kill themselves. At the end of the day you say dont do it even if you know they might be better off dead in thier situation but morality dictates we not let people die. As life is a precious thing to be preserved. Humans are just some of the strangest creatures. We have very developed brains but we choose to act on emotion and those with logic are considered evil psychotic assholes even when being helpful.
