Is it normal to be unable to own more than 1 item of a kind?

For example. I can't have more than 1 guitar even though I play well. I once got an acoustic to complement my electric and I've been trying to sell it ever since. Actually I don't think I could have more than 1 instrument. I'm about to sell my PC and phone and get a big screen phone. The thought of getting one while still owning the PC makes me cringe. It goes as far as eliminating hobbies, thinking that I have to choose between them. I just lost my drone, and I still have the remote, so if I get one I absolutely MUST get one that comes without a remote. 1 backpack, 1 pair of shoes, 1 pencil, 1 mug in the whole house, writing every course in 1 notebook.
Am I alone?

Acoustic and electric guitars are quite different instruments, played with different techniques and for different musical purposes.. You haven't got two of the same thing by having one of each.

You know a phone and a computer do completely different things right? Well they can do some of the same things, but not all of the same things.

Also, is it like that with everything? Like can you only have either a sink in the bathroom or one in the kitchen because they're both sinks? Can you only have one friend because they're both friends?

I don't see any harm in it and I am sure it is cost effective . I am wondering to what extent this goes , it interests me . I wonder if you own one plate , one set of cutlery , one pillow etc.

Relationships must suck for you. Having at least two of everything must be a real hindrance.

I've never met anyone like you. One pair of underwear, too?
If I was like that, I'd have died many years ago. I need a lot of spares and redundancy in my profession; there are no stores to shop at in the middle of the ocean.
    Good luck.

No, not underwear and T-shirts and socks and stuff like that. I do have just a few of each though. I probably have about 10 T-shirts for example.

Then you are half way to beating this problem, right? You can choose to have more than one of anything, if it pleases you.

Embrace the new and different. Don't be so shortminded.
