Is it normal to be wearing medical braces and casts?

I find comfort in wearing medical braces and casts. Specifically neck braces, and body braces. I know it weird but I’ve told my friends about it and they say it’s fine. But I seems like something that should be weird, I’m not sure. It’s not for sexual reasons but purely comfort.
