Is it normal to believe creationism is more likely than not?
I don't pretend to know who or what created everything, but I believe everything was created rather than it being totally random chance over hundreds of billions of years.

Well, your guess is as good as anyone else's as to how the universe came into being. Nobody knows.
But as far as evolution and species changing over time, that's a separate thing. Imo, there's too much evidence that that's what happens. And it wouldn't be random chance, it's dictated by the environment.
You don't have to discount evolution to believe in a creator. Just sayin.
We certainly weren't plonked on earth fully-formed. Simple creatures evolved into more complicated creatures, that much is obvious. What set the first simple life-forms off is still a mystery, but parts of the puzzle are gradually being discovered.
We could've been. Think about it, you could've been created this very moment along with all your 'memories'.
I posted this above:
"if you created a good fantasy world, the pieces fit together. Everything makes sense inside that world but it's still just made up. Did it actually happen or is it simply the "backstory"?"
It's normal to not think about anything too much and just make things up.
On what day did God create the fossils? I hate creationists. Clueless!
Did you skip this part of my post-"I don't pretend to know who or what created everything,"? The entire post is one sentence long, two if you include the "IIN?" so be careful who you call clueless. I never said anything about a God. I personally don't believe in any God that I've ever heard of nor one I've made up. I lean towards existence being some kind of simulation. I have no idea how or who or what is behind it.
You should probably study science a little more deeply to clear that confusion up..
