Is it normal to believe i might never find a job i love?

I have never enjoyed any jobs for longer than a couple months. But I have to make money. I worry all the time that I will never enjoy work and that every year from now until my 65th will be boring and miserable. Is this normal?

Many people only work at their jobs to survive and don't enjoy them at all. Get an education (a real education) and choose wisely.

It often takes those who find an occupation they love, well into their thirties or more to find it. It's well worth the trouble to find. Have patience. Keep seeking.

Love? Probably unrealistic. If you can keep one you don't hate that'll be good.

Work is work. Nobody loves every aspect of their job. I for example don't love pushing carts for a grocery store however I do like being of help to customers and having smoke breaks almost whenever I want and I like that nobody is staring down at me while I do my job. Just find things about your current job that you enjoy that will help make the time go by a bit faster. If you have a desk job a and you truly are unhappy then join my ranks...its only min. wage but its the happiest I've ever been at any job and I have had quite a few higher paying ones.

It's hard to find a job thats enjoyable, and many people never manage to, but you might luck out.
Incidentally, try making a list of skill and interests and look for jobs that check off many of those. A career skill test might help. Sometimes, finding a job that caters to your strengths, even if it isn't nessescarily interesting, can make it better.

63% of people are bored but not unhappy with their jobs, and 24 % hate their jobs, so the odds aren't in your favor. In this corporate monkey world, it's not a surprise. Best thing is to get an education and be a self-employed professional.

I'm sorry, life's a bitch but really though take time off work (save for it by any means necessary) and you might find something you love to do. I took a year (saved for 2 years prior) and I found what I wanted to do, and I may of developed a serious drug addiction along the way but I start my new job in January and I couldn't be happier or higher. Anyway. It's not about where you end up. It's the journey getting there you should enjoy most

The purpose of a job is to provide one with a source of income, not a source of joy.

No. But it's a bonus if you enjoy your work.
