Is it normal to believe i was reincarnated?

My earliest memory is me lying in darkness with dead bodies everywhere, everything going black, then my current life starting. It was the first thing I saw and remember. It doesn't scare me or anything it's just... there. I use to tell my mom about this, but she brushed it off as a dream. I strongly believe it was not. I believe I was killed. I don't know what ethnicity, where, what gender, or why, but I believe that I died with a bunch of people I loved, from a bomb or something war related, then was reborn in 1997.

Given that atleast 22% of the planet subcribes to a belief system which includes reincarnation, your belief in it is quite normal.

Couldn't you also say that as "Well almost 80% of the planet doesn't subscribe to a belief in reincarnation so your belief in it is not normal"

Not saying it is or isn't, I don't really care what the OP believes. I just didn't find the argument you used convincing.

If one believes normalcy is attached to whether or not a majority of people do that thing then playing baseball, being homosexual, being christian, being muslim, having a Facebook account, being white, being black, and being Asian are not normal because none of those thing are true in a majority of people.

I believe having a belief similar to that of 1.5 billion people is normal.

I agree with you completely. Using 50% as the bellwether for normal is obsurd. Like I said I wasn't disagreeing with you.

Your other accounts follow people around and say the same thing over and over again.

    • It's true many people believe in it. But most people talk about reincarnation for their next life, not previous. My whole family believes; yet, they still don't think my past life "remembrance" is anything but a dream, which is where the IIN comes in.

I am skeptical of your experience. I merely answered the question put forth in the title.

As for your memory, anecdotal evidence is not evidence. I woukd need to meet more people with similar experiences and analyze their claims before I could ever have any credibility in your anecdote. Therefore I have no opinion.

If energy cannot be created or destroyed but it can transform from one form to another and humans are actually made of 99.999999999% energy and .000000001% matter then logically the matter part of us would die off and what's left of us(our soul/energy) would get recycled back into the universe after we temporarily see what it's like to be physical(and forget our TRUE nature). I believe that we were once the stars before we became human beings and who knows what else we'll evolve into. I strongly suggest you study quantum physics. The science textbooks they show people in school need to be updated. We are not physical beings. We just think we are because of the way our minds perceive the frequencies, energies and sounds that go on in the environment/energy field while we're living in this physical "reality".

So to answer your question: Yes, it is completely normal to believe that you have been reincarnated. That sounds like a pretty traumatic life you might have had. I've heard from various sources that we do live in a matrix where our memories from previous lives are erased before reincarnating into this system that seeks to control and enslave every human being by lying to them and corrupting their minds. All I ask of you is that you open your mind.

The TV was probably blasting away, showing some horror movie or news event when you first became cognizant of the world around you.
That would make more sense than your explanation.

      We think alike.

I wouldn't say it's the TV per se, but an earliest memory could be in fact linked to this belief.

      I agree, somewhat.

I personally have several memories of different past lives. Yes, it's completely normal, as well as backed up by science like the other dude said. I believe I was one of the first souls on this earth, and I've also been killed in a few of my life. I'm sorry about your experience if it truly did happen, it sounds like a horrible death. There's a thing called past life regression, if you want to look into it to know more about your former self(s). I actually know of a process that's really good for remembering. You can pm me about it if you'd like.

All sorts of people think they had past lives. They are nearly universally nobodies that were kings, queens, generals, composers, or other famous or notable persons in their past lives. Yours not having any of those indicators doesn't make it any less a thing than those lunatics that believe they used to be someone special.

    Sometimes I wonder.

Would you rather be an old soul or a new soul?

    • I'm considered by many middle-aged adults to have an old soul. I think old souls are connected with peace, maturity, and respect, which are always nice, but as I teen, I'd prefer a new soul, full of innovation, new perspectives, energy, and at times, naïve happiness.
