Is it normal to believe in past lives?

What I find astounding is the relation of memories, characteristics, style, striking resemblances and personal preferences. If a person, who is in the present, has exact criteria of a person from the past. Is this solid proof of a past life experience?

I don't necessarily believe in it but I have had a few experiences that might support the theory.
I have had several very strong feelings of deja vu, especially when sailing in the Eastern Mediterranean. I will come up to a point of land and know exactly what the bay beyond looks like, even though I have never been there before. It's very disconcerting!
Also, there is no other explanation for my present relationship. We are 42 years apart and it would seem we should have nothing in common. But from the moment we met, there was an instant connection, as if we were continuing a relationship from a past life. She is not at all my type; brunette, 5'8" tall and athletic. I have not been with a woman over 5'2" since college and they were all blondes. And of course, what woman dreams of falling in love with an old geezer like me? But it has been the easiest and most pleasant relationship I have ever been in and interestingly, since I am with her for reasons other than what she looks like, I believe this one might last. We'll see.

Physics. In a closed system no energy is either created or destroyed, just transferred, where does all that neural energy go when you die? I'm betting there is some kind of cosmic soul recycler at the galactic core or something.

that's not really solid proof of anything....however i do believe in past lives. but many dont quite understand what it means. our consciousness had to come from somewhere. it didnt just poof into being in the womb. and whether it poofs out of existence when we die is up for debate. I dont believe it does, it goes somewhere but we dont remember it very well. that is how the world works. simple physics. nothing created or destroyed only rearranged...

If our consciousness is part of our brain why is that any more mysterious scientifically than the workings of our other organs? Why would it necessarily survive after the brain dies when no other part of the body survives on by itself?

All the organs do what they evolved to do and our brain is no exception, in fact it's the most flexible organ in the body: read up on neuro-plasticity and The Brain that Changes Itself if you'd like more information.

Yeah, physics, the brain is part of the body and breaks down back into the earth in some way, just as the rest of the body does - in other words, rearranged

I'm glad you understand. And your stories are similar to thousand others out there. The reason I believe it to be true, is because I have strong emotions and belief towards an ancient culture and her story (Horus' s
daughter, a direct descendant). Perhaps it's the family heirloom table I have. It's Egyptian design and copper. Even before I received the table, I was studying ancient cultures and was immediately drawn to Egyptian art. Their belief was on a great knowledge and hereditary. It would of been a nice to live at those times. Unlike nowadays, the earth is polluted by manmade religions. Egyptian belief didn't have to dominate earth, it just was. They were deeply connected with the stars/ astrology. As you tell I am very passionate about ancient Egypt. ..............*》*》new readers: vote YES.......stop voting no....darn it

It's all related to the topic. All of criteria of past life experience has been researched for years.
And I can't believe there is 'no' votes. Seriously¿

What, you mean you can't seriously believe some people don't believe in past lives?
