Is it normal to brush your teeth while driving?
I used to do it to save time, but I would often see people in other cars staring and/or laughing at me. Is it really that hilarious?

Honestly, I think the sight would make me violently sick. Watching people brush their teeth makes me feel sick. I don't want to get sick while in a car.
And, as others have stated, it's dangerous. If you get into an accident while brushing your teeth, the force could make you be impaled on your toothbrush.. This is a very serious injury. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2214888/How-little-girl-impaled-toothbrush.html
I used to do that, because I was always running late for work. One day I told my boss about it, and he told me about some chick he knew who got into an accident while brushing her teeth. I don't know if the story was true, but I pretty much stopped after he told me.
Brushing teeth doesn't sound very dangerous. You don't have to take your eyes off the road and it doesn't use much of your brain up. Similar to eating I'd say.
Texting or having phone conversations (hands-free or not) is dangerous as your mind is being occupied with conversing not driving.
It's actually more dangerous than hilarious to drive while distracted. I've almost gotten into car accidents with people who texted, did their make up, read a book, and other nonsense while they were driving.
