Is it normal to buy stuff and never use it?

I bought a shirt I really thought was awesome but once I got it and started wearing it I didn't love it as much. Now I rarely wear it. I tend to see things that look awesome at first but once I buy it and have it in my possession it eventually loses it's flare. I feel like I'm wasting money. Anybody have this problem (not just with clothes but anything that they buy)?

      My first late-ex-mother-in-law was always buying cheap, little, useless nick knacks.

      Honestly, I love aromatherapy so as far as stinky candles are concerned I don't want any of that damn artificially scented Yankee Candle bullcrap or worse yet cheap imitations of that crap. Yeah, I can't usually afford the type of candles I would prefer. It doesn't matter I'm really just rambling, because now I only use therapeutic quality, organic essential oils.

      Yeah, now I have that poor, old woman and those useless nick knacks stuck in my head.

      I dont know what kind of stinky candles you are talking about, but just the other day i brought candles with strawberry and vanilla fragrance. And i am thinking of buying some honey and apple fragrance too.

    This is normal if it is not too much. I bet many of us bought something then regretted and never used it. I bought several games that I have never played yet. but only because I'm busy and even when I have time to play I play an old game. Waste of money but not too much.

    That's like me. But I collect Rilakkuma stuff. Never use it. IT"S TOO PRECIOUS. But I usually get it imported from Korea and Japan. So it's real.

    Normal means common and so, yes, this is common.
    But normal does not mean it's healthy.
    Obviously you're wasting your time and money.
    It's common for some people to be taken by desire and not think things through about whether or not they "need" the thing that they have the urge to buy.
    You may be depressed and shop as a way to cope with depression - or anxiety.
