Is it normal to cry to "drops of jupiter"?

I don't know if I'm just feeling hormonal or what the heck but I have never in my life even come close to crying to that song. It doesn't hit me that way at all and most of the songs that do are super obscure and lyrically/musically complex. It just brought me to tears today and I have no earthly idea why! lol

    I heard them interviewed on the Howard Stern show and it turns out he wrote it about his mother who had died. It is much sadder to hear now. I assumed it was about some girl who left him.

      Awww that's sad. Weird that I had a big fight with my mom yesterday but I had always assumed it was about a girl too.

    Yes I feel melancholy too and get emotional.

    Some songs have that effect on you.

    Another song that gets me teary eyed is DUST IN THE WIND (pun intended)
