Is it normal to cry when a show is over?

I just finished watching an anime series and after each of the last few episodes, I cried because I didn't want it to be over. I felt connected with it and the characters. After I watched the last episode, I felt somewhat lost. I try to rewatch episodes, but it doesn't feel the same.

  • So relatable. That's such a weird coincidence that you asked this because yesterday I finished the best anime series I've ever watched and had the exact same feeling. I marathonned it in 2 days and became so immersed in the story and the characters, that going back to my everyday monotonous life afterwards just feels plain awful. I literally felt more emotions in the 2 days of watching that series than I did in the past year of my real life. You become so immersed in a world full of excitement, life, friendship, and emotion. Then, when the show ends, and you turn away from your monitor, you're forced to face the juxtaposition of being alone, in a dull room, with nothing going on.

FUCK YOU 3D WORLD. WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BE SO SHIT? WHY CAN'T YOU BE MORE LIKE ANIME!?!??!

    • That's exactly how I feel right now. The anime I just finished was Fullmetal Alchemist. I also have felt more emotional watching this show than I do when experiencing my life. It's nice to know I'm not alone.

I can totally relate. Even if it's with incredibly trashy things like SAO and Undertale. I get so emotionally invested in an anime or game once it's over I just feel empty inside.

Makes me glad my favorite game series is going strong with a release every one or two years.

Totally relatable. I just finished Death Note and the only bad thing about this is, that I cant watch it again without knowing what happens next.
    So sad that its over

I hate when I watch a good anime and feel connected to the characters and then it ends-_-|| I re-watch it but it's still sad no matter what...I feel connected and it's so depressing, but I do know what u feel and it's totally normal(~>__<~)
