You should go seek a fucking help in real life instead of seeking validation on this website, hoping for acceptance on your harmful habit.
You seem to be quite prideful of the self-harm and scars but I can assure you that those feelings will leave you alongside your teenage angst and you join the adult world where people will not find you unique or interesting for it and will by all accounts think you're retarded for it.
Just realize that you're doing this under the stupid impression that people will find you interesting for it...They won't, it will have the opposite effect you want, you will be mocked for it.
You won't get the reaction you want in life from it. The choice is yours.
It's sadly a normal thing that many people struggle with, though its terrible for your mentle and physical health. I greatly recommend stopping or seeking help. I wish you well
Youre not alone. I do it as a coping thing when I get really depressed. I did it from 8th grade up but mine is non suicidal self harm. It can also be an early sign of a mental disorder (I have bipolar)
same. unforchonetly. I remember the other day I was thinking how far I had come and how level headed I felt. later that night I hade 3 new cuts and 2 new burns, So I guess I still have work to do. so yes I think it is normal, and it sucks.
Try skills, that’s something you can do instead of cutting which isn’t really as harmful
Have you ever heard of that
If you find the right method it may help
In ten years time you'll look back and think "what the fuck was I doing". Listen to your future self and get help.
It's not normal. Self-harm will never ever gonna be normal. :)) It's very tempting to do it especially for people who suffer mental illness. But please, don't. Life will be better soon. You just have to cling to life and have faith in God. Some people will argue about religious belief being so "one dimensional", but I assure you, once you lend Jesus Christ all your problems, he will definitely ease it for you. Like what they say, you cannot have the rainbow without having the rain. Continue living. :)))
Self harm is not normal for the vast majority of people, but it is quite common among those afflicted with Borderline personality disorder. Regardless, self harm is unhealthy.
