Is it normal to delay opening a letter/present? i like the unknown.

I often find myself delaying opening an email (e.g. dating site), present or similar. Because while it's unread it's like Schrödinger's cat it can both be good or bad, not knowing it exactly, makes me excited.

    I would assume we all do this to an extent. You have to ask yourself though: is the tension worth the wait? Years ago I wouldn't open bills because I could barely keep up with them so I just shoved them under the carpet so to speak, but nowadays I open up those suckers the minute they land. Keeps the tension at a minimum.
