So I did this experiment where I dissect a dead fish to learn the functions of the fish.
Is this normal?
If this is it could help me with a lot of biological stuff.
I could go on and on about my hippie shit, but as a general suggestion, I think it is good to try to be respectful of the bodies at least.
Poking around is a bit of a grey area, but full on disrespect and mutilation is just considered rude at the very least.
There is practical use of physical biological learnings by doing dissections or experiments, but if it’s not necessary I don’t see why it should be done.
I’m going to say it’s normal because I’ve done it, but with the disclaimer that it’s a subjective vote. Any time a fish dies in my pond I do an autopsy to ensure there’s nothing I could have done and should do if I want to keep my remaining fish around.
I mean sure! Go on there buddy and dissect dead things. As long as it isnt alive (or as alive as it can be for a while) while you are doing it you are proactively learning about the body of said creatures. You could go into a wide field of biology with that interest.
