Is it normal to distrust almost all polls?
The reason I distrust polls or surveys is because the way the question is presented is almost never how the results are portrayed
This is an exaggerated example, but the same basic idea still applies. A pollster might ask you a question like this: "you're in a room with a white male elementary school child, an Asian female college student, a Latina grandmother, and a black murderer who's on death row. In order to save the others, you have to choose one to let die"
And then when you give the answer they're obviously looking for, they portray the results as "9 OUT OF 10 WHITE AMERICANS ADMIT THEY WOULD MURDER A BLACK PERSON IF GIVEN THE CHANCE!!!"
