Is it normal to do this while farting?

So when I am alone and feel a fart coming I will hold my butt checks real tight together with my hands to make my fart real loud and give a "ripping" feeling as it happens. I like the way it sounds and it feels awesome too. Anyone else do this? Is this normal?

    Try the opposite- open your cheeks really wide- and let rip....especially after curry or stew!

    Well, my uncle did it in a crowded restaurant, so he must find it cool. Sad thing is, he pinned me for it.
