Is it normal to dream about people i haven't seen/talked to in years?

I recently had a dream about a guy I went to high school with who graduated the year before I did (I graduated in 2013). I haven't really thought about him at all since then, but he randomly ended up in one of my dreams recently. Is that normal at all?

    I dream about people I haven't seen in years all the time. Most of them weren't even close friends or sometimes , not friends at all just kids I went to school with.
    A few months ago, I dreamed of this boy I knew when we were little kids(3-4). I googled him to see what he is up to these days unfortunately he is in jail :(

    i had a dream a few weeks ago about a friend from ten years ago. I forgot they existed in my memory till then.
