Is it normal to dream of the future?

Ever since I was young I've been having dreams about the future. I'd dream of an event, place, or person I've never seen before, and eventually it'll come true whether it be in a couple days, weeks, or years. There usually only small things, such as dreaming about being in a house I've never seen with my dad, a year later we move into that house in my dream, and my dad says the exact same thing in my dream.

Now I also dream of events in the future which is half right, it's really odd. I remember having a dream when I was 15 that my mum got a new car which was white, we were talking about her friend and then a truck crashed into us, which is when the dream ended. Few months back my mum got a new car which looked just like my dream, then she started talking about her friend. I got real on edge, looking for that truck that was suppose to crash into us, but it never did.

There have been several other dreams like this, one where I was in a bakery with my dad and there was a shooting which didn't happen, and another dream where a robber broke into my dads house and shot him. These events would happen, same place, same conversation in my dream, but without the threats or dangers.

I also dream of big events sometimes, back in 2009 I dreamed of Barack Obama becomin president, as well as a bombing although that dream wasn't really clear and I couldn't tell which country it was.

I've dreamed of a terrible war happening, although lets hope that wont happen. My most recent dream involves the government, someone leaked top secret info about America supporting Al Queada and it went live on television. People rioted and it ended up with America threatening to release a deadly virus or something, idk. My dream ended there. My future dreams always come true even if it might take a few years to come true, I just hope that one wont. I've also dreamed of some other bad stuff, probably wont happen but I don't wanna be a target to anyone so I'll keep my mouth shut :x

    Sometimes I wonder if ISIS is who we think they are or not some government plant for something much worse.

    A few of my dreams have come to pass too. But they are often more metaphorical. I dreamt about a failed romance that was represented as a storm and by the third dream I was facing a completely different storm alone and it swallowing the whole earth. It was because of my inability to connect someone that I ended up down a path that made me realize that I can't really connect with anyone and there is some major fault that I have to overcome.

    I also dreamt about a friend of mine quitting drinking. And of war. And meteors. Some pretty epic shit.

    If anyone wants to hear any of this stuff in detail just ask.

      I want to. You seem very creative. Are you an artist or lyricist?
      The storm metaphorical dream seems interesting to me. I have a fascination for dreams of storms and oceans and forests.

      But about the OP, I have symbolic dreams with my mother and other people who are gone. Even writers and musicians I am into, telling me things.
      I used to dream I was killed by a firegun all the time but it stopped.

      Feels like it, with all the violence and hostility going around the world right now.
      In my dream it was pretty fucked up tho, it was like a WW3 or something, the first world countries like America, Australia, England etc had to force their own people to evacuate n there were bombs going off everywhere and u could see bodies laying around the streets everywhere u went

        I honestly think that's what it's coming to. Even in America. Most Americans think we're invincible but the truth is we're not. And when it happens here its gonna be worse than any other world war

          Yeah, tbh I feel like if there was a big war lots of countries would likely gang up on America (the middle eastern/terroist countries) since there the biggest/most popular third world country.
          I feel like it's all gonna start with Russia and America since those two seem to be on real bad terms at the moment, then it's just gonna go down from there. China would prob be the third country to jump in to defend Russia which would just start a shitstorm and the whole world would get involved. I'm not really looking forward to growing up in this world
