Is it normal to drive a long way to find a party

Sometimes I drive to towns/cities more than an hour away to find a party to go to. There are closer places, but they don't always have parties.

    Do you live out in the country? It's kinda weird if you live in a big city but living in a small town or out in the country, you should expect to drive a long way for a good party.
