Is it normal to excessively nail bite?
I tend to bite my nails far down enough to make them bleed, and I usually don't notice when I'm doing it. If my nails are too short, then I chew on the skin below them. This happens whether I'm nervous or not.

A lot of people bite their nails until they bleed I did the same sucked the blood or licked the blood off my nails and then chewed on another finger nail hard to stop
A lot of people do this. So you are not the only one and this is something a lot of adults do as well.
I've done it since I was a little kid and still do it. It annoys people but I can't help it.
I used to do that. I stopped because I wanted to grow them long and pretty like my older sister's. After 3 months, I saw how long they got, I was too busy doing artsy designs on them to want to bite them.
There's a horrible tasting nail polish that can help stop nail biting. Give it a try.
You can actually hurt yourself doing that and create fungus in your nails. Take a nail clipper and cut them instead. Or perhaps buy a stress ball and every time you get the urge just start playing with it instead of biting your nails.
