Is it normal to experience nostalgic high this intense

For the past few years I’ve been dealing with a lot: I’ve gone through several deaths, lost a job, and found out I have a rare health condition and will likely die before 50.

I’m not happy with my current state in life and I began thinking of the past. I was in a nostalgic trance that was so intense I forgot what time period I was in.

I was heading to the store I was last with my grandmother before she died unexpectedly and it’s been closed since 2018. I didn’t remember until I saw the empty parking lot. I started sobbing after this. I keep thinking some people are alive when they’re not.
