Could be irregular heart beat or something along those lines. Definitely check it out mate your better safe than sorry.
I just had this recently, and mine are called PVCs. Some irregular heartbeats are benign but some are not. You should see a doctor.
skipped heart beat, well its actually an extra small beat. Your heart pauses for a sec because of this extra beat it wants to get back in time, it then gives a big thump and its back in business. Its not normal to have them all the time, there is a huge risk of blood cot, stroke and death with this type of palpitation.
Where did you get that info? Thats not what my doctor said at all. In fact look online at PVC and PAC. My cardiologist did 4 different tests and said they are not dangerous unless you have underlying heart problems. They can be from anxiety caffeine meds etc.
They should get it checked out but extra heart beats do not necessarily mean something bad.
What I'm saying is skipped beats/palpitations cause your blood to pool when the heart pauses to get back in rhythm, this can cause clots, if the clot moves to the brain or a vein supplying the heart muscle with blood and oxygen its all over. Not saying this will happen, what I am saying is the risk for heart attack is increased a lot with this condition.
Happens to me often. I had a terrible dream this morning and felt my heart in my dream and woke up with it. Took maybe a minute or two to realize everything was ok.
