Is it normal to feel like i let myself down after gaining half a pound?

I'm dieting and didn't go off it but ate about 150 calories more than I normally do and the next day, I weighed .5 pounds more on my scale. I feel like such a failure and am disgusted with myself! IIN?

No way 150 calories equals .5#. You probably shouldn't weigh yourself until after you've gone to the toilet.

You can lose that much from pooping. Obsessing over weight isn't a good thing, only weigh yourself one a week. You can tell if your clothes are looser or tighter.
