Is it normal to feel pain in dreams?

Ive heard other people say they dont feel pain in dreams, and a few say they do. I do, but I seem to have a better dream memory than average. I think its likely everyone has dreams like mine, but most forget while I do not. Do you feel pain in dreams? To me dreams are just as real as this world.

Whenever I get hurt in a dream I feel it, but it doesn't hurt. Getting stabbed feels like someone put a game controller stuck on vibrate in my stomach.

Falling off of something feels like a lite punch. Stuff like that.

I can relate on the the stabbing part. Also I've had dreams where someone shot me in the head, and I felt this brain-freeze, metallic like feeling. Weird stuff.

It feels weird, doesn't it? I think since I've never been stabbed my brain just replaces that feeling with something more recognizable.

When dreaming I always feel like I have to go pee, but I can't find a decent toilet.

Ive been stabed, shot, runover etc... in my dreams and it feels 100% real. I also have very linear vivid dreams and perfect recall. I think its from the brain operating at a higher level then it should be when I'm sleeping but it's not dangerous. RoseIsabella I also have the bathroom dreams but when I wake up I dont have to go lol! Isn't it annoying...

Your brain and senses still work when you're asleep, so I'd say it's possible.

I think you can feel both pain and pleasure in dreams.
