Is it normal to feel shame that your parents know you’re sexually active

The shame you feel will eventually wear off with time. You're an adult with adult urges and none of it should really be their concern.

Yeah. And it can be kinda hard to avoid your parents finding out if you still live with them. Thing is they are probably not judging you negatively unless they're like strictly religious or some shit, they're probably just hoping you use protection. They might be more worried if you're a woman though but if that's the case and they'd confront you with any worries then just tell them you're an adult and capable of making your own decisions. Sadly it’s normal to feel embarrassed, there is a nonsensical expectation in western society to allow your parents the illusion that you have never been sexually active. Realistically though you are an adult and they will have known that you were almost certainly going to have sex one day.

You have nothing to feel ashamed or disgusting about, sexual activity is a part of most adults’ lives. I suspect that you just need to let some time pass for these feelings to fade. It’s also worth remembering that had your parents never had sex you would never have been born, so any judgement from them(which it doesn’t sound like is the case) would be completely hypocritical.

You should be ashamed.
