Is it normal to find tonsil plates disgusting?

Yesterday I got a few tonsil plates and the smell of it puts me off to the point I chuck them in the bin and I realised getting tonsil plates isn't good.

Am I a normal person?

      Not OP but there's a vid on youtube of a guy digging his out with a pair of tweezers. Made me gag but I just had to watch. I had my tonsils out as a kid so I was curious as to what all this is all about.
