Is it normal to forget everyone’s birthday, even close friends?

I’m extremely forgetful and can never remember anyone’s birthday even my closest friends which makes me feel really bad...am I horrible or is this a common thing?

    Do what the other person said, put them in a calendar. It's hard to remember tens of birthdays, I feel bad for those people who have to remember hundreds. Feel bad for those damn social butterflies, but they do it anyway.

    I forget any birthdays that aren't my immediate family's or boyfriend's (including my own sometimes). I just put them in google calendar so that I can get a reminder a bit before, that way everybody gets appreciated in some way.
