Is it normal to forget how to make a paper boat?

I forgot how to make a paper boat and now I cant make one even if I follow the instructions online. I get stuck at the square step

    I had a mom teach me a couple years ago. I did it last year for the same child, and now I forgot as well. So yes this is normal in my book.
