Is it normal to freak out when your hot water heater quits?

Have to call the maintenance to fix it.. "and I don't feel like company"or even having to call them. I am depressed

Theres only 1 way to get your boiler repaired, be strong and make the call or get used to cold showers and shivering during winter

Mine is 20 years old and I'm looking into replacing it because I know it probably won't be much longer until I'm facing a broken one, too. I just hope it doesn't flood my basement if something does go wrong before I get a new one!

Are you sure it isn't something simple like the wind blew the pilot light out?

are you sure that aint a safety pressure/temperature relief valve to keep the tank from catastrophically explodin that you recklessly disabled?

Yes, its still functional and can still drain if need be. Ive tested it with the lever and it will shoot water out. It just had a slight drip because the PVC broke off into the thing and was someone causing it to drip. Its all good and its quite new water heater.
