Is it normal to get a weird feeling in your throat while/after smoking weed?

When I smoke weed I get this strange feeling in my throat, kind of like that lump in your throat feeling you get. It's not painful or anything, just feels inconvenient, but it's something I can get over and enjoy the high. Just wondering if this is a normal feeling to get...?

    I think a lot of people feel that. Goes to show you weed isn't all good.

    I'd say it's normal, a temporary reaction to the coughing most likely.
