Is it normal to get anxious at night?

I have c-ptsd so although I have anxiety throughout the day it gets much worse at night. Does anyone else get anxious at night and if so how have you learned to deal with it?
Thank you!!

I used to when I was younger, and I have during very stressful times in my life. It seems to come and go. The only thing that really helped was to try to distract myself somehow, like by watching TV, playing a game, or having a conversation if possible. I think the root of it is that usually, we start settling down at night in preparation for bed, which means our minds usually aren't occupied, which in turn allows anxiety and intrusive thoughts to creep in.

Yeah I always stall going to bed because of it.
When you're lying there without distractions all you have are your thoughts and feelings, with no way of escaping them...
It's even worse if you got insomnia.

Not often, but generally feelings are stronger at night and concerns you start to think about during nighttime feel more important
