Is it normal to get kicked out of an "all you can eat" buffet?

Over the years I've been to a few all you can eat buffets. I tend to eat more than they expect and they ask me to leave. Some are polite about it and some make a scene. I'm not the angry, entitled type, so I just leave without a fight. Is it normal I've done this a few times? I just love food and can get carried away.

Hey, if it´s ALL YOU CAN EAT they have no business doing that to you.

I was at an all you can eat buffet some weeks ago, one of my friends showed me you could take a BIG ASS bowl to the ice Cream machine (instead of the small ones placed next to it ). It felt a bit wrong but I did it anyway.

    NO RAGRETS

Hell, just haul your chair over the ice cream machine, lean back, stick your mouth under the nozzle, and drain the frigging thing.

I've actually seen people do that. Its not for me. Strangely enough I always see that at the buffet near Walmart. XD

You often say you've seen people [ insert trashy behavior here ]. Which makes me wonder... which part of the country do you live in so I can stay far away.

It's definitely not healthy to eat that way, but it's not hurting anyone else and it brings you joy.

So no, not normal but you do you dude.

Have you eaten so much that you got all bloated and just puked? I have. It was crazy.

That is easy to do, as many buffets use fillers in the food to make you full faster. I get sick to my stomach after just one plate of food. Ever heard of a substance called "Thick It"? Its a powder they put in food purees for people who are on liquid diets to make them feel full. (Elderly, ill, anyone on a long term liquid diet.) Well, the stuff buffets use is the same thing. You'll eat less and they save money. You'll find it in potatoes, mac & cheese, anything they can dissolve it in. Its odorless, colorless, tasteless. Its harmless, but you have to be careful not to over eat. Otherwise youre in for hours of abdominal discomfort.

Thats what some co workers told me. Though I think its my fault in the end. I'm eating enough for several people and it's costing them.

  • Sounds ok to me to eat all you can eat as long as you're not Matt Stonie making that buffet go bankrupt or something like that.

I guess it's whatever they tell me when they confront me. To be honest, it is kind of douchy for me to just keep eating and eating. Its a waste of their money. I might just stop the buffet trips altogether. Lol

  • It's bullshit. They retain the right to kick anyone out of their establishment, but they should bear in mind that it's their fault for lying.

All you can eat is all you can eat. They reap what they sow.

I do agree that they should follow their own rules since it makes them look bad. Though I'm not mad about it. I kind of think I'm the one with the problem if I've done this a few times over the years. I need to stop. XD

    Hey chubsters.
    No, it's not ok.
    It's not normal.
You ruin it for people that eat like humans.
    Norths chuck wagon buffet, bankrupt.
    Kings table buffet, bankrupt.
    Because of YOU!
Folks lost their jobs, and large family's lost a cheap place to take the whole family for dinner.
They never made much per person.
    Just pocket change.
But because of volume it made a viable business.
You stay puff marshmallows show up.
Eat 5 times the regular person.
    Businesses go broke.

Firstly how much are you eating? Second I suppose it could be considered discourteoues in some situations. However if you pay 20 bucks for "all you can eat" I think you are free to take your fill.
