Is it normal to get vertigo

I was sick last month with a virus infection. I first thought I had very long migraine for many days but when I went to the doctor my blood test showed virus and the nurse said its probably the cold.
Now I have vertigo again and I am not sick. If I move my eyes or if I turn to the side my head spins a lot and I feel a nausea which is identical to motion sickness nausea. I had some wine yesterday but only 3 glasses I didnt get anywhere near drunk so I am definietely not hungover. Why would a regular cold give me lasting vertigos? Is this normal?

I guess it's time to go back to see the doctor.

Nothing is for free. Nothing is guaranteed. And maybe you should see a different doctor if the one you are seeing isn't satisfying your concerns or doubt their ability.
