Is it normal to hate a close friend.

I have a "friend" who i'm really beginning to start to dislike. We're 17 and known each other since we were like 5 or 6. On and off for a bit but the past few years we had been pretty close. Told eachother a few things and it was fine. Recently we got a job together so we can work together and make money and all that. Idk if it's seeing him for hours a day or what but lately, I can't fucking stand the guy. He's kinda turned into a dick. Since he knows my troubling past, he likes to bring things up and can be very insensitive. Whenever I try to call him out on it he tries to act like he's unaware of what's happening even if I bring up specific incidents. Ever since he realized I don't like the way he is now, it's like he goes out of his way to do it more. It's a real pain in the ass, and i've been moments away from knocking him tf out. Lately even hearing his name makes me angry. I want to fight this man. However I'd rather not lose my job. I

It's normal that things change. There're many cases out there which friends of decades break up.

PS: Someone who keeps doing things he's been told upsets someone, is being deliberately provocative and the best way to deal with it is to just not respond and then go and kick a wall or something where he can't see you're upset.

Yes. Listen to this brilliant piece of advice. Go break your foot against a wall... because this is the most grown up, evolved way to go about doing things. Teach yourself that taking your anger out on things that can't fight back is the best way to deal with your issues.

He's obviously not a friend any more if he's behaving like that. Sad, but time to detach and move on

People change, so yeah, very normal. As people grow up and experince new things their attitudes can change, and in this case, seems your freinds attitudes took a turn for the worse, and its pretty reasonable to hate someone who pisses you off all the time.
