Is it normal to hate people who wear strong perfume or cologne?

There is a woman where I work who always wears very strong perfume, she literally smells like vanilla all the time. It makes me feel like she only does it to cover up her natural body odor, meaning she probably smells worse than a regular person without spraying the stuff. I just can't trust people like that either, I feel like they just be hiding something.

    Or she just doesn't understand the concept of moderation. Like the little sicialin dudes that lay on half a bottle of expensive cologne, thinking they're improving their social status. They're Chernobyling the whole god damn bar. Normal humans are forced outside to smoke tobacco just to breathe.

    I'd rather smell vanilla than stale sweat.

    She might suffer from hyperhidrosis & it may make her very self conscious. Excessive use of fragrance/body sprays can be a sign of social anxiety as well.

    She probaby is hiding something, something medical.

    I can't say it's normal to hate them, but I could easily see where it could (and would) turn someone off. Also, many people who do wear such scents often don't realize that (1) they're being offensive to others...and (2) others could be allergic to the scent...

    People can have nasal fatigue if they wear the same scent everyday. To them it smells really subtle, but to everyone else (who isnt around the scent 24/7) it smells strong.
