Is it normal to hate the word "bae" so much?

Okay let me just explain. I have issues with other words as well, for instance "Swag" and "Yolo" (You Only Live Once) But in my opinion "Bae" is a horrible thing to call the person you supposedly love.
Yes, it's slang. But it's also so degrading. That person is supposed to be your whole world and yet they don't even deserve that other "B" for "Babe"
I have never, nor never will call the person I love or anyone else "Bae" Even saying out loud is just, idiotic.
This whole trend/craze for saying "Bae" which is literally "Poop" in Danish. It's appalling.
Like, where is the love and respect gone? Especially between lovers/partners.
I understand calling your other half "Love. Sweetie. Baby. Babe. Princess." Etc etc
But "Bae" ugh.
It's so degenerative and like I said, degrading.
The reason why I hate it so much, is because of that reason and of course I hear it/see it literally everywhere.
It's really annoying. Is this normal guys?

      Unlikely. A lot of people think "Bae" means "Before Anyone Else" It's slang for anyone that's well, before anyone else in their eyes.

        maybe mind your business? people will do plenty of things you don't approve of, but the truth is, THEY CAN DO THE THINGS YOU DON'T APPROVE OF. if you find it idiotic, that's okay, but some people don't. as simple as that. if you dislike it some much, just cut ties with people who use it so often.

        people who are afraid of change annoy me the most. a few months back, the same hate was given to the word "significant other". and before that "swag" and before that "yolo". all people do is hold unnecessary grudges on things that doesn't affect them.

    It's kind of funny, me and the last guy i dated sort of accidentally started calling each other bae. I called him that as a joke as we were talking rather gangster (with 'beef and eggs' in parenthesis) and he kept it going. I kept trying to tell him it was just a joke of a title, but he didn't get it until he called me such on Facebook and his friends called him out. Bahahahaha!
